Let’s be grateful for the ones we love today. Those with us and those we miss.
I’m thinking of my big brother Dave today. He would have been 57. I doubt birthday’s matter as much in Heaven, but I still celebrate him in my heart on January 17th each year. And I think of friends near and far walking through their own losses today.
Such losses are wake-up calls to the dozing. Life is glorious, precious, and short — to be lived abundantly. We best get busy with the important stuff.
Is there something you’re supposed to do? Something that beckons but you delay? Consider this your wake-up call.
It’s time to live on purpose. Get busy doing what you came here to do. And remember to enjoy the moments.
Amen.
And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. ~ Romans 13:11 NIV
