I never realized all the ways it can be so difficult to trust, nor how wearing it can be not to. I’m tired of expending ridiculous amounts of energy attempting to micromanage the universe. That’s what God is for right? Yet, for some of us trust is an acquired skill.
Maybe that’s why I’m so drawn to the beautiful wind-bent tree outside my kitchen window: a living lesson of what I would like to embody. So today let’s practice. For just this day, let’s trust. Let go the leaves that need to fall and trust that something wonderful AND beautiful AND even grander will come. Amen.

I learned very early how not to trust so when I really get this lesson, I may ascend ; ) It shouldn't be difficult knowing God is at the helm, but for me, letting go is 'simple but not easy'. When I begin to feel down and out the Lord does prod me in the direction he wishes me to take daily. Today he did just that and I'm so grateful that I have Him in my life.
