Shoes have been a recurring theme lately. My husband’s boots are too small. My daughter wants to wear slippers to school. I fell down an entire flight of stairs after taking my shoes off when I knew I shouldn’t. A painful stone was discovered to be a nail.
It all boils down to lessons in choices. There’s a reason shoes are listed as part of the armor of God (Ephesians 6:15). We have been warned to wear our shoes because the walk is long. The terrain is dangerous. Protection has been provided for the Journey and we will need it.
Let’s remember to wear it.
Amen.
