Life’s singular moments are rarely what they seem. But when pressed all together across the thread of time, the bitter and the sweet become like brilliant-colored beads – the adornment of a beautiful life.
What first seems bitter, over time becomes sweet. The trick is not to judge too soon.
It’s a great mystery – this everything created for a purpose, full of ability to transform. To become useful or even savored for what it adds – for what would be missing if it were lost.
What if our circumstances are merely ingredients in something bigger?
Desiring a full life, we must taste the bitter to appreciate the sweet. Experience deep darkness to comprehend the light. Know searing heat to welcome the cool breeze.
Go ahead. Believe. All things can be made beautiful in time – the bitter and the sweet.
Amen.
Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you… 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 MSG
