Sometimes it’s hard for us to accept the fact that it’s not about you. But that’s what it means to grow up into true, beautiful maturity. That place of unshakable Joy.
What if it’s not about your net worth, the car you drive, the size of your house, or the number of “friends” you have on Facebook, but about the positive difference you make while you’re here? Only one of these will be worth remembering after you’re gone.
Our lives are meant to be an offering…
A light on the path, encouraging others to find their way.
Seeds sewn to one day grow into shelter from the storm.
Joining hands until way is made to the other side.
Lives touched. Blessings offered. Hearts shared. On purpose.
To become the best of all we are capable of, we must rise above ego to Truth.
It’s not about you. It’s about becoming the blessing that God intended to give to someone else.
I suspect that only then will we have hope of hearing those golden words when it’s all said and done… Well done good and faithful servant.
I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~ Phil 3:14 NLT
Amen.
QUESTION: What is God inviting you to be and do today? Hint: It involves you, but it’s not about you.
Amen and amen. I needed this reminder today. (And probably every day!) He must become more and we must become less– and it is there, in the surrender, that we find joy.
Thanks and amen Natasha. Joy indeed : )
