How to Know You Are Beautiful

Ever wish you knew how to know you are beautiful? And really believe it? At last and for good?

How nice would it be to put to rest this issue of devaluing our own worth. Denying our own unique perfection as children created in the image and likeness of God.

The flowers of the field speak of a truth we so often deny – unique is absolutely beautiful!

While spending the day watching our granddaughter I noticed these incredible flowers in the front yard. Purple coneflowers: traditionally uniform and consistent. But these beauties were each one so spectacularly uncommon, I couldn’t choose the most amazing one.

It’s easy to see the insanity of each flower thinking itself less than perfect because it didn’t conform to the picture in the seed catalog. Instead they blaze away in their onliest glory. Created amazing, each and every one.

Lord, help us to bloom. Trusting, like the flowers, in the One who intentionally created each of us rare… Beautifully becoming all You created us to be.
