I recently heard Michael Hyatt and Jeff Goins talk about how every moment matters. About paring down our lives, redirecting our energy and our time, to focus on the things that ‘add value’. So that we might fulfill our purpose. Complete our destiny.
So I began to notice what I was doing with my moments. Was I procrastinating? Complaining? Worrying? Doing what I thought I “should”? Things I was not called to do?
Or could I refocus my time, my days, my moments, on the one thing or the few things I am certain are mine to do. Become sensitive to what is distraction from that goal.
Today, and every day going forward, let’s determine to remember this – our lives are a gift. To us, and to the world. We are here to contribute something irreplaceable. If we don’t give it, nobody will. And the world will be at a loss.
Consider this… What if someone else doesn’t find their way, because you didn’t pursue yours?
Let’s begin to notice how we spend our moments. Because moments add up to lives – ours and perhaps others’. Indeed, every moment matters.
Amen.
So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision – you’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it. ~ Phil 3:15-16 MSG
