I love to cook but some days I love to lie back and not be responsible for how it all turns out. I think learning to trust God is like learning to let someone else do the cooking. The gift of weariness is realizing we need rest more than we need control.
Letting go of control, the Divine peels away the unusable so that something delicious may be made. So I am willing. I do not know the outcome but I love and trust the cook.
What if we viewed our struggles as the early stages of a future feast prepared by Loving Hands?
Amen.
