Rummaging around on the family farm I discovered hidden treasure. Not because it’s actually valuable, but because of what it represents –captives being set free.
I love the imagery of a broken lock. Prisoners no longer held by chains. Even those of our own making.
What if brokenness leads to freedom?
Much of what holds us back – holds us down from rising to all that is possible – is frequently the prison of our own self-doubt. Rooted in hidden messages we’ve accepted but are not true.
Anything is possible. Regardless of our age or stage or place in life. No matter where you find yourself today, consider this…
How would you live today differently if you knew the locks have already been broken? What if it’s true?
So here’s to living in freedom today. Living fully. Joyfully. Trusting that anything that has been undone, is simply an opportunity in disguise.
Let’s move forward in this wild adventure together. Discovering what is possible today.
…say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’ ~ Isaiah 49:9
Amen.
QUESTION: What lock has been broken off of your life? What have you been set free to do? What if that brokenness leads to freedom?
What a precious post! I have been living my difficult time, not know why He has allowed me to be here in it. Till recently when He showed me that it is all about Liberty just as you stated. How beautiful and sweet to see His hand at work in our lives. This post was for me. 😉 Thank you!
Thank you Laura. There’s nothing better than being able to encourage others from the perspective gained by walking through my own trials. It’s often hard to see what He’s up to while we’re still in the midst of them. But afterward, if we don’t turn away, the blessings become evident if we look for them. I am convinced that trials draw us into deeper intimacy with Him the way nothing else can, and makes us useful. And that is a Gift. Hang on sister! He isn’t finished with you yet!
