I came to the end of a road recently and I was reminded of how often this happens to us in life. We’re traveling along thinking we know where we’re going and suddenly we’re faced with a dead end. Then it came to me… We have a choice. We can stand looking down at the ending, or we can look up and see the new beginning. Look down or look Up?
We have a choice to make… If we choose to look up, I believe God lights one path just a little more brightly than the others, giving us nudges toward happiness. Toward Joy.
Are you at the end of a road? You have a choice to make? But know you are not alone.
Amen.

So true! Perspective is all, isn't it? I do think that endings are important and should be honoured. As long as one doesn't stay stuck there, staring at the sign and not making that choice for too long… 😉 I could certainly do with looking up for a slightly better lit way – thank you for this!
Thanks for a well written insight. New beginnings are all around us, aren't they? God's plan may involve a closed door, or He may just see someone making a choice that closes a door for us, but he never leaves us standing alone behind a door. He knows our future and He's there to lead us to a better place and I'm so thankful for that.
I have learned through the years and some really abrupt 'endings' that they are launching pads for amazing new things. Truely, the greatest blessings in my life, the greatest Joys, have come because of a closed door. My whole new life in Texas is an excellent case in point. I am so grateful. Thank you both for sharing!
That is so true. I like how you worded that. Look up and He will light one path brighter so you can tell which way to go.
