The busyness of the world would have us forget a simple truth – rest must precede harvest.
There are times we must slow down, to get where we’re meant to go. At the end of your strength? What if that’s where you’re supposed to be? Yield to the process.
In season, we are called to be still – to heal, recharge, build strength. Abiding is productive. So rest. So wait. So grow. The unpleasant stuff? Merely fertilizer.
Trust – the fruit will come. Bright. Beautiful. Perfect.
So remember… The One who walks beside you, sometimes calls you away to rest. Then comes the harvest.
Amen.
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. ~ Mark 6:31
